HIDE & SEEK SWILLHOUSE - Fairground SCBD

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Frankly, SCBD is one of the place that we rarely step on due to the type of the restaurant. Fairground at SCBD is popular with the lounge, bar and typically 'The Night Life' where normally on the weekend night, people come here for party or having fun with friends. Hide & Seek Swillhouse has been a part of Fairground for at least one year and we were honored to take part of the food testing event. We were quite surprised with the quality and the range of food here, not forgetting the beautiful mocktail, cocktail and beers :)

APPLEBEE'S x NIBBLE - Lippo Mall Puri

We had a great food testing / food bloggers gathering event on 20 April 2016 from the collaboration between Nibble application and Applebee's Restaurant in Lippo Mall Puri. Well, there's no fancy decoration or specific event that night, but we certainly had a nice chat with fellow bloggers. The thing about food bloggers gathering is that we never know each other (personally) until we meet and say "Ahh, I followed you long time ago and now we meet in person" That happens quite many times in every food bloggers gathering. Long story shorts, there are more than 10 foods (appetizers, main courses and desserts) and 10 cocktails to try. Thanks Nibble for arranging this event.

GYU KAKU JAPANESE BBQ - Citywalk Sudirman

It was Sunday night, April 17th 2016 when we had no idea on where to have dinner. We were like having a tough discussion over a Mama Goose in Panglima Polim (for the best Gyu Tan Don, IMO) or Negiya Donburi in Citywalk (for another famous Gyu Tan Don as well). But, I remembered the last time when I visited Citywalk, I saw a few authentic Japanese restaurants there. And, we both rarely like almost never visited a Japanese restaurant with Sushi as their main menu. So, we said lets go and have a look there!

JAPANGO - Menteng / Sarinah

[SHORT REVIEW] Satu lagi restoran bertema jepang dengan konsep makanan rice bowl dan Robatayaki (sate2an Jepang). Sekilas menu makanannya agak mirip dengan restoran fast food jepang yang menyajikan rice bowl, karena tampilannya pun simple. Restorannya sangat sempit dari depan dan lokasinya tepat di sebelah FAME Menteng yang jual Martabak Boss & Warteg Express,

Jadi kita dapet kesempatan diundang di acara bloggers gathering di Bluegrass Bar & Grill. Bluegrass ini sebetulnya sudah ada sejak lama dan kita sudah pernah mencoba makanannya beberapa tahun lalu, lupa percisnya tahun berapa. Nah, di blog kali ini kita mau bahas sedikit tentang Bluegrass dan Pengalaman di event bloggers gathering :)

CHICKEN PAIKUT - Kelapa Gading

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Ever seen a local fast food chain? Then let us introduce you, this is CHICKEN PAIKUT! A fast food restaurant in Kelapa Gading (Gading Hybrida), just next to Nasi Uduk Ibu Jum or Ncek Legenda Noodle. You might have known them from bazaar to bazaar as they are very popular in this segment, especially teenagers! They love this kind of food :D The main product is basically fried chicken or the cool word is Kaarage :p

SOTO KUDUS SENAYAN - Senayan

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Well, this is actually our first ever Indonesian Restaurant full review, so we'll review in Bahasa. Terus terang ini pertama kalinya buat gw (Jeffri) nyobain Soto Kudus Senayan, soalnya kalau weekend biasa gw nyarinya any kinds of Western / Italian / Fusion Japanese, etc (read: Selain Indonesian / Chinese food). Bukan karena tidak suka loh, tapi karena mungkin weekdays kita sudah makan Indonesian or Chinese food, jadi pengennya sesuatu yg lain. Nah, Soto Kudus Senayan ini sebetulnya sudah berdiri belasan tahun di Jakarta.

TRATTORIA - Lippo Mall Puri

Finally came back to my favorite Italian restaurant in town! Trattoria Cucina Italiana has established its business in Jakarta for many years, in Kuningan FYI. And since then, they opened up their new branch in Lippo Mall Puri GF, just next to Fctry Bistro or Papajo Eatery.

NOODLE KING - Pantai Indah Kapuk

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Finally! There's a real competitor of the famous Legend of Noodle in PIK. Introducing NOODLE KING! A Korean restaurant offering some spicy Korean noodle as their main selling menus, alongside some famous Korean dishes. The outlet was kinda small from the outside, while actually it is quite spacious inside. The location is just next to Shirokuma in Rukan Crown Golf, so you must be very familiar with the location.
